Recognize this coin or anything similar to it?
Reverse side
It seems to depict perhaps one of the rulers of china. And the dates of his rule. I picked up 36 of them all different.
If anyone out there can read Chinese and help me out with any of the ideographs it would be much appreciated.
Wow, that is SO COOL - WHERE DID YOU FIND THOSE?! One of my formerly-adopted soldiers, whose whole family i stay in touch with still, is an avid coin-collector. His birthday is next month.... HMMMMM! :) I think i figured out what I'm gettin' him, if they don't cost an arm & a leg, that is. (If so...he gets a card, ROFLOL). Anyway... where'd ya get 'em????????
ReplyDeleteI bought them from a pawnshop on the hope they were silver which i think they are. I generally go after the old scrap gold that doesn't sale or is broken. Quite a lot of it out there. The silver I buy as a courtesy to them since it takes so much of it to be worth much. I would hate to break up the set. They are all in plastic holders like a clear plastic business card file. But I'm always willing to dicker.
