A Liberals prayer

On June 6, 1944, D-Day, Franklin Roosevelt (the darling of liberals) asked God for his blessings.
You may not agree with every thing the link espouses, but, I think you'll agree that we need those blessings now, more than ever. So Whatever religion you are, Christian, Jewish, Muslim, whatever, if you've a mind to, and support our troops, maybe you can read this prayer now, and especially on June 6th.

Obama is using class warfare.

Perhaps.......

.....Just perhaps, some parts of the Immigration bill may make sense. I'm going to reserve any change of opinion till I have more information, but if, and I repeat If what I read on drudge is correct I might be swayed.

The bill would give temporary legal status to millions of unlawful immigrants, provided they came forward, paid a fine and underwent criminal background checks. To apply for a green card, they would have to pay another fine, learn English, return to their home country and wait in line.

The plan also would create a guest worker program. It would allow foreign laborers to come to the U.S. for temporary stints, yet with no guarantee they can eventually gain citizenship.


I have said all along that the illegals have to be identified in some fashion and return to their home country and apply to come here. The problem becomes how to identify them. This is eased if (a big if) some of them will come forward voluntarily. How many will is a good question. If not they should be sought vigorously. With strict penalties on employers who use them shouldn't be real hard.

This part is a little disturbing. Seems to make no provision to return them home and then have them apply. Hope it's not a get out of jail free card.

At least we forced Mordor to allow us time to debate the actual bill, and make our opinion known. Vigilance is a small price to pay to try and maintain a semblance of actually being a Representative Republic.

May They not be forgotten

The talking heads...............on abc, cbs, nbc, fox, msnbc, and a myriad of others are all talking about the heroic sacrifice so many have made to their country on the tv's all over the land this morning and will likely do so on up till noon time.

It seems ironic that they'll show their hypocrisy in such brazen fashion, after spending day after day after day putting out talking points about how cruel and sadistic our soldiers are, and how wrong this war is, and of course what an idiot George Bush is.

Of course they are just talking heads, reading the tele-prompter in front of them, and getting a deer in the headlights look if they ever have to resort to the typed notes on the table in front of them.

In the first place, I'll guarantee that not a single one of our military would sacrifice themselves to this country, but to a man or woman gladly would sacrifice themselves for their comrades, or for the Ideals this country is supposed to stand for.

And I'll bet a gram of .99 fine gold that our fighting men and women understand the differences. And for sure their loved ones do.

And so I offer up a humble prayer that they'll be protected. That no more white crosses are added to the huge number that already dot this land. And, yet, I know there will be, so I change my prayer to; May they not be forgotten.

Kazakhstan

Some one from there took a glimpse under the kudzu this morning and probably not too impressed with what they saw, left. It would be nice if having knocked, they'd leave a note, or some more permanent record of having been here. Or perhaps their silence is witness enough of the worth found here.

The Smoke

from the south Georgia Wildfires, which I guess are reaching into Florida and so contributing their own to the mix, is reaching all the way to Athens this morning. Drifting thru the air like the smoke from cannon and musket drifted over Chicamauga, or incendiary British bombs at Dresden, or the smoke from rockets, grenades and automatic weapons during Tet. At least it smells better than the smoke from cut off barrels of JP-4 and shit and piss the gooks burned behind the outhouses.

Every war must have it's unique burning smells that remain in the reptilian portion in the brains of it's participants. Only waiting for some input to bring it slithering back into conscious thought.

It, somehow, seems appropriate during this Memorial weekend to be so reminded. To be reminded of where we've been and how we returned, and of those who didn't.

And I have to wonder how the world might have changed if there had been no need to go. And even today they still go. Some of our best and brightest. What contributions might they be making today. Perhaps their spirits are helping those who return to dig more deeply into themselves and contribute just that little extra, so that their memories keep speaking for the dead.

But few things are sweeter than a sleeping child, who has worn herself out, then grabbed Mr. Bunny (who will play Old McDonald if you pull his tail) like a victim of the Titanic going down for the third time, snuggled up close and dropped off to sleep.



Secure in the knowledge that all is right with the world and those chosen to watch over her will allow no harm to befall.

And you wish that you could always be there to prevent mishaps, but....reluctantly....have to admit that it's not wise to totally protect and coddle a child, lest they wind up like the willful Miss Hilton.

Of course it also helps if you have a faithful, watchful guardian always there, quick to herd in the direction she should go, and quicker to wash her face with his wet old tongue when needed.

Upside is.......the pre sun sky in the east is the color of the most desired turquoise you ever saw. No clouds, air perfectly still, as if in wait for the bustle and hurry of people off to work.
With our lack of rain, however, I would have preferred the violent beauty of a dark, advancing thunderstorm, lightning flashing, pregnant with the blessing of rain for a parched landscape.

A freedom loving, free market advocate and a voice for common sense for many years, Mr. Sowell has a couple of things to say on the proposed amnesty bill that the left-tards are trying to cram down our throats so fast (they think we can't remember which cup the ball is under).

I have read many articles by Mr. (I think he has a Phd, but not sure if it is economics) Sowell over the years. Probably 30 yrs. if I had to guess, and I've always admired his clear logic and insight.

And I have to say that it's not just the left-tards, but also the right-tards too.

Do we have the balls.............

Do any of you care? If you're not from this country, what if it were your country that had 20 million illegal invaders?

We'll have to get serious or wave the white flag and concede that we are no longer a sovereign nation.

It's not hard if you break it down.

Some are putting forth good ideas.

The question then becomes, why do all the Mexicans move north.....huummm? The fact is that for many Mexicans there is no motive at all to come north. Just for those with out a job, or worried that they're going to mexican prison, or just want to work here for a few years, save up enough money to then return to their homes and be able to live comfortably for the rest of their lives. Which I have been told by more than one Mexican. Can't really blame them, even if it does disgust me that they invade us illegally. That's an act of war, isn't it?

To be honest, there are times when I consider moving there to be an enticing option. I don't however speak the language. I'd have to hire an attractive Latina to tutor me on that. That too is enticing, but who'd hire on to a grumpy ol' redneck.

I have always deeply loved my country, but, this is not the country I loved in my youth. Then we were much more free. Free of many things; a large part of the crime we now enjoy, the monitoring of our movements by cameras everywhere, even the grocery stores want you to sign up for their cards so as to enter you in a data base somewhere. Government schools that used to try to educate us in the basics so we could do anything we desired enough, which now try to medicate and stupify, so we'll act as the docile cattle they desire us to become.

I still love my country, but I more and more hate and fear my government.

I'd love to hear your opinions on this. Do I have any sense, or am I just crazy like the VA says?

Inquiring minds in the Kudzu grotto want to know. Even if you are from Mexico or China, England, The Netherlands or wherever you lurk from.

We the People .......

........don't really count for much in this Representative Republic of ours if we don't make our voices heard loud and clear by the people elected to serve as our representatives in Washington.

I just finished emailing some of my Representatives the following letter. Followed up by a copy sent through the USPS.

Dear Mr. President,
Mr. Vice President,
Senator Chambliss,
Senator Isakson,

Sirs,

To say that I am disappointed in the proposed Senate bill, which in effect grants amnesty to Millions of illegal, criminal aliens, is to understate my disappointment in my elected Representatives of both the Executive and Legislative branches of the government.

Once a long time ago I raised my hand and took an oath to defend this country and the constitution from all enemies both foreign and domestic. Much as you gentlemen did when you were sworn into your respective offices. I did this willingly and gladly, for I considered it both my duty and privilege to spend a portion of my life, and if necessary, to give my all for the country of my birth.

Unfortunately I now see that you did not either understand the words which you spoke, or you deliberately choose to violate that oath of office if you continue with this misguided proposed legislation.

There are clear laws and procedures by which a person from another country can come to this country and work, and eventually should they choose to, apply to become a citizen of this great country.

A person should not start their career in this country by becoming a criminal. That is an affront to every law abiding citizen, either native born or nationalized, in this country.

I realize this is a hard choice, but Mr. President, my respect for your ability to, and willingness to make and live, by the hard choices is in my opinion your greatest asset. Don’t demean yourself and your office by kowtowing to men of lesser principals.

Knowing you have all heard many solutions proposed to this difficult question, may I here submit a few suggestions which I believe would be fair and workable. I cannot take credit for originality in these as I have listened to many sides of the situation. But I believe these would serve this country well.

Step One: You enact harsh -- draconian -- penalties for any employer, no matter how large or small, who knowingly or carelessly hires someone who is in this country illegally. These employers are going to have to use the services of private sector firms that verify citizenship or legal residency. If the demand for such certifications is created, that demand will be met by private businesses. The law would require the federal government to cooperate in all respect with any companies in the business of certifying legal residency. There would also be harsh penalties for any landlord who knowingly or carelessly rented living quarters to anyone not in this country legally.

Step Two: All federal funds would be withheld from any cities or other local governments who refuse to cooperate with federal immigration authorities in the enforcement of our immigration laws. This would put an end to this "Sanctuary City" nonsense.

Step Three: A law would be passed that would allow U.S. Businesses to hire temporary workers who are not legal residents of the United States. All of this hiring would be done through federally licensed but privately operated employment agencies. The companies using the temporary labor would make all payments to the employment agencies, and the employment agencies would in turn pay the temporary workers. The penalties for any payments made by employers to temporary workers outside of this system would be harsh. Very harsh. Say, for instance, denial of any rights to hire temporary workers through this program again.

Step Four: U.S. law would require that any foreign person seeking work in the United States through the temporary worker program would have to have a temporary worker card issued by the United States. Without this card the employment agencies would not be permitted to bring these people into the U.S. for temporary work assignments.

Step Five: The temporary worker cards would only be issued in that worker's home country. Nowhere else. In other words, if you are already in the United States you would have to return to your home country to be issued a card. If you chose to remain in the United States you would be unable to find any work because you would be ineligible to be hired through the federally licensed employment agencies, and no employer would dare take a chance on the fines that would result from paying you outside of the federal temporary worker program. I see no reason to fine these criminals and allow them to stay here. Criminals should be deported to the country from whence they came.

Step Six: When a U.S. company need some workers, construction, agricultural ... whatever, that company would go to one of the federally licensed employment agencies and put in an order. That agency would then arrange to have the needed workers brought into the country and would arrange for their temporary housing. The employer would be billed for these costs. When the temporary work assignment was over the agency would provide transportation either back to the temporary workers home country or to the next temporary job. All payments to the temporary workers would cease until another assignment was found.

One other thing I my self would do is to eliminate the automatic granting of citizenship to a child of foreigners born in this country. We might could have justified that at one time, but no longer. If a foreigner wants to apply for citizenship in this country let them go thru the steps required to obtain that right.

Sirs, the privilege of a reply from each of you with your opinion of how to solve this problem of the invasion of our country and the violation of our sovereignty would be much appreciated by this old Veteran

Do I expect that they will personally read this? Not really, although one can hope I guess. Will the minions who do read it bother to mention it to the individuals themselves. Again I have no great hopes.

But, if we are to avert the time when we should shoot the bastards, we have to at least have on record an attempt to get our opinions through to them. If no good comes of it then we can consider our duty to warn them of their folly fulfilled.

I don't ask much here on this blog. It started as an attempt to express some of the things that bother me. It has become a way to keep in touch with some fine folks, and attempt to meet other fine folks from all over the world.

Say a little prayer for our country and it's leadership if you are so inclined this evening.

Regardless of the twisting or spinning of 2nd Amendment opponents, the founding fathers in their writing about the Bill of Rights made very clear that the right to keep and bear arms was so the citizenry of this country would have a last defense against a government which was not in their best interests.

The amnesty bill the looneys are trying to rush thru the Senate for illegal aliens seems to be just one more example of government not in our best interests.

How many more affronts to our sovereignty will we accept?

I have just got off the phone with the Washington offices of both Senator Chambliss and Senator Isakson from Georgia about this issue. Not surprisingly the aide on the phone ( no way in Hell can you actually talk to your elected Senator in person unless you've made massive contributions to their reelection funds)said that they are receiving lots of calls about this issue.

I hope you will take the time to call your Senators, and express your opinion to them. I will also be e-mailing them both with the solutions I would like to see put in place, which I have posted here not too long ago. Not my original ideas, but things I'm 100% in favor of.

The time is very close, I think, to the time for all of us to assert our individual sovereignty and stop obeying the nuts in Mordor-on-the-Patomac.

Just my view from the Kudzu. I would welcome your thoughts on the issue.

...........Another reason to achieve enormous wealth.

You don't have to cut your own @#$%^&*()% grass. Or in my case the lack of same. Oh, we have a little scattered here and there. I made the mistake of applying a fertilizer with weed killer in it, thinking to eliminate the fennel, crabgrass, dandelions and such before aerating and putting out a nice turf style grass seed for a lush green lawn like they show in the advertisements. Boy was that a mistake this year. First the weather turned cold again, then rain seemed to never come. All this combined to render several hundred $ of fertilizer, lime and seed totally inert. The up side is that what little grass remains grows quickly and when I run the mower the downside appears in a huge, blinding, cloud of dust which covers everything in a coat of red.

Oh yeah, another reason would be that I wouldn't have to @#$% with a mower that decides that anytime I stop for any reason that it won't crank again until it cools down. Kinda like a reluctant slave in the cotton field after the ol' master has paid a visit or two to her cabin late at night.

There fore I resolve to become too wealthy to have to fool with these aggravations.

Now to find a bank with careless guards, or a winning lottery ticket dropped out by the gas pumps.

I have no clue............

..............as to whether Jerry Falwell will be welcomed eagerly into the kingdom of heaven.

He certainly was able to capture an audience and convince them to send their checks, both large and small, in to his enterprises. Some of which was probably used for good purposes. I hope, anyway.

I'm always suspicious of any so called man of God who rakes in so much money. Seems a little counter to the teachings of The Christ he supposedly served.

Of well, it's not up to me to judge him. We'll all know how it turned out by and by. Or not.

Who has carved out a very lucrative business out of lies and half truths and appealing to those who live in envy of the productive segments of our society.

Playing

Playing Alchemist today. You should see my fingertips. Stained all purple and gold and red.

Wouldn't it be a kick to be able to achieve the dream of ages.........to turn a base lackluster metal such as lead or tin into that passion of Midas. Gold.

I saw a replica of the twin towers in New York rendered in 18 kt gold and all the windows were princess cut diamonds. Took 48 ounces of gold and of diamonds no total was given. Lets just guess that it took a bunch. Little Indian lady goldsmith put it together in her spare time. Some hobby huh? Makes my waxing of the old mustache seem tame by comparison.

Gold of course has been an object of desire for millennia now. The Isrelites were told to carry out of Egypt all the gold and other loot they could carry. Goldfinger in the Bond movie painted his girl friend all in gold. Gangstas put gold caps over their teeth and wear enough chains to prevent them from fleeing the scene of the crime by swimming the river. Buddhas in temples are made of gold. The Georgia Capitol building dome is coated in leaf gold.

And does all this ostentation enrich us at all, at all??

On days when I pause to think of it, I begin to think there might be something to that. Whether it be attachment to hearth and home or to loved ones or possessions, jobs, cars, fine jewelry, art, a myriad of tangible and not so things.

On the other hand, without the desire for so many of these things we might still be eating what we picked up off the ground and beating our cousins the chimpanzees off with a stick.

But then if you never had it, you'd never miss it.........Right?

Now there are those who will tell you that there is plenty that I don't know, but who do you believe? Those,.......They, whoever they are? Or me, sterling example of Southern Gentleman. Son of the South! Decorated war Veteran. Heroic defender of the downtrodden, the poor in spirit and those who rail against the government and usurpers of freedom.

They even stoop so low as to refer to me as an extreme rightwing fanatical conservative. Pah! I laugh at their lack of discernment.

If I must be classified as anything in the political spectrum, I prefer to be thought of as a Free Man. A sovereign individualist. Carrying to its logical conclusion the ideals espoused in The Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights. A true Libertarian in that I believe in Liberty for all People, and believe that government governs best which governs least.

Both sides of the political clustertumble in Washington, DC are in my opinion Nazis' in that they both want to control all aspects of our lives, from cradle to grave. Giving us just enough freedom to keep us producing at the optimum levels so as to maximize the taxes they levy on us.

This means that I am an opponent of the insane War on Drugs as waged by our imperial federal government.

Don't take that the wrong way. I do not use what are referred to as illegal drugs I never have and likely never will. I take prescription drugs and make no apology for that, I use them exactly as instructed and get generally the results desired. I don't drink, although I have in the past and consider that I could readily become an alcoholic if I were to let myself.

But, if someone wants to use, abuse or even kill themselves with drugs or alcohol, I say more power to them. As long as in doing so they realize that they have to be responsible for any ill effects of their usage and that they do not harm others by their usage or actions. If you want to use medical or recreational cannabis or heroin or cocaine, do so, but don't expect me to be responsible for the ill effects of your actions.

By legalizing drugs you would almost at once release 1/3 of our prison population to productive lives. You would almost eliminate the criminal element from their high profit margins which make the illegal sale so lucrative. The government could collect sales taxes on the sale which could be used to fund treatment facilities (which hopefully would be run by private treatment centers). And have been proven to be far more effective in reducing drug usage. You would release thousands upon thousand of law enforcement personnel to combat the threat of Islamic terrorism.

But in my wildest dreams I never thought that I would find myself on the same side of the fence with George Soros, one of the richest men in the world and one I consider a strong candidate for the AntiChrist. Click on the link.

The Long War.............

Women, the good, the bad, and the ugly

I can't help it..............
......I know in the grand scheme of things my rant today is not about something most people get upset about too much. But I just have to.........it's like a damn chigger bite in a, let's just say, a rather sensitive area. You don't want to scratch it, but damn, it feels so good just to ram your hands down your pants and scratch like the fires of sheol were burning.

It's not PC today, in this PC world, to to speak of women as being in any way different than men. And I agree that they should certainly be equal to men.

But, my paradigm about women was shaped by the training from my fathers and grandfathers, who, while the womans work at home was hard, taught us to honor women and the mothers they were or could be. To think of them as........well I'll let this bit of verse speak................

Fairer than the fairest flowers that bloom,
Richer than the rose's sweet perfume;
Life as stainless as the stars above,
Soul that stretches upward-- Soul of love;
Woman..... the finest work of God.

That is what gripes me about Paris so much.

The ideal young woman is not a conspicuous figure upon the street. She is not loud or boisterous..........not seen gadding about by night........she thinks too highly of herself to blow herself away in the froth of society. She will in no manner belittle herself or allow her nature to be perverted.

Young miss hilton (lower case because she doesn't deserve higher) has reveled in showing herself to be worse that the most brazen harlot of modern times. She enjoys rubbing it in our face, that though she is wealthy, from a fantastically wealthy family, and considered by many to be lovely to look at, that she enjoys getting down in the mud and rolling in it. Like a pig she probably relives herself to wet the ground to make the mud she rolls in.

What makes this attitude worse is that her mother (in particular) and father enable her spectacles. I'll bet ol' Conrad is spinning in his grave.

We have allowed ourselves to become a society that does not place women up on a pedestal any more.

Robert Heinlein wrote something to the effect that; A society which does not protect the mothers and potential mothers within their midst, will not long survive as a great society.

Don't get me wrong, I have no desire to see women walking around in a Burkha, and I love to look at lovely women. It just pains me to see women looking and acting like an inbred collie bitch, bred only for looks, with a brain the size of a walnut, and about as much sense.

Finally........

Finally, Finally, finally..............the long awaited closing on the sale of the last rental house was completed today. I feel completely whipped. As if a long race had at last ended. Not sure if we crossed the finish line or I dropped along the wayside. Think and feel like I had to crawl on my belly for the last 100 yards.

This process was started back in September. When your buyer has no credit other than a bad credit report, no money for a down payment just a willingness to take a house that needs a lot of work, lenders are a little hard to come by.

At first we tried to get a hard money lender to do the deal. No problem, just need an appraisal..............only they'll only use one appraiser and he is backed up for months but promises to get to it soon, and then doesn't even when bribed. Then that is completed but then the lender is out of town, and then wrecks his car somewhere in outback Arizona, and almost kills himself and wife, putting them in intensive care for months while the underlings dither and won't do a thing until he can give them the word.

Then you go to other lenders, and finally, serendipitously the buyers run into a visitor to their church which just happens to be a mortgage broker for the past 35 years, you start to think it might just happen. Only took 45 days past the original closing date.

What is the lesson learned here children? Not to fool with real estate at all.
NO! The lesson is to only buy good properties with plenty of equity built in, in good neighborhoods, and only seek renters or buyers who have good jobs and good credit.

That one factor right there eliminates about 70% of the American home buyers. It is startling how many people in this country (including yours truly) have poor credit.

The trick is to know how to overcome those obstacles and a willingness to persevere in pursuit of your goal.

There are only 7 secrets to achieving wealth in this country or any other. After that it's easy.

Sitting in the kudzu grotto and trying to unwind without aid of a nice stiff drink. Teetotaling can be a bitch.

The moon......

.......is rising full tonight. Kind of orangie yellow due either to a hazy layer of clouds or smog, take your pick.

Many experts poo-poo the idea that the full moon has any effect on peoples behavior.
While Others ascribe quite a bit of significance to it's rising.

I can't tell you if any or all of the studies or theories are correct. All I know is that for a couple of nights before till a couple of nights after the full moon I have trouble sleeping.. I toss and turn, generally the sheets are all wadded up the next morning, I have weird and scary dreams, and am in a state of general unrest for that whole period of time.

Many ER personnel and LEO's report more injuries and mischief during full moons.

One of the saddest things the full moon reminds me of though, is the fact that we haven't returned to the moon with our space program in damn near 35 years. That one fact alone makes me want to howl at those idiots in Mordor-on-the-potomac.

I was in basic training at Fort Polk, Louisiana when the first manned mission blasted off to the moon and returned successfully. Being young and full of optimism for the future, I thought that was the greatest thing in the world.

JFK had laid out the vision of a moon landing early in his presidency at a time when we did not have such a pessimistic attitude towards everything. And by damned we accomplished it. Our country was not so full of pussyfied wimps crying about every little thing going on. To listen to the enviro-nuts or the defeatist's in charge of Washington, DC today, you would be encouraged to either blow your head off to avoid having to face the coming apocalypse, or stick your head up your sphincter so as to hide from the awful truth that mankind is the cause of all the earths ills.

Maybe I'm still a little kid at heart with the attitude that things will continue to progress and life get better, for my kids and grandkids to achieve greater things than I ever imagined.

All I know is that when I look at the moon through my spotting scope, I wish for two things. One, a bigger and better telescope, and two, that I could make a trip to the moon.

Wetbacks, river waders, undocumented aliens,.....

Chasers of the American dream, Illegal aliens, Latinos, doers of things lazy Americans won't do, cheap labor for the construction industry, for the agriculture industry. Although around here you can't get one of them off their ass for less than twice the minimum wage or more.

What ever you want to call them. Just don't call them late to the pay lines on Friday or the unemployment line on the 1st of the month.

Many questions I struggle to come to a conclusion on. (Like whether to wear my Justin Ropers today or the ratty old ROK jogging shoes). But this is one where my opinions go right along with my Libertarian leanings. I believe in the greatest amount of freedoms for the greatest number of peoples.

I also believe in the rule of law. Constitutional Law in particular, since that is the standards that we are supposed to be judged by and adhere to. Not rules and regulations set up by bureaucratic minions simply to give their agencies something to do and at the same time increase their influence and power...........not to mention their funding.

No, law is the collective organization of the individual right to lawful defense. The right to defense of your life, liberty and property either as an individual or as a group. In this case I mean the right of Citizens of the United States of America, a Republic the last time I looked. At least in principal, if not in fact.

We have laws set in place which determine how people from other countries are supposed to come into this country. They are by no means draconian rules. But those elected leaders of this country and the individual states ignore their mandate to defend the citizens of this country from an invasion of criminals into this country..

I don't know about you.........but when I'm driving down the highway I stay within at least a margin of speed that will not get me stopped and I try to obey the posted signs and other laws. I do this so I won't get either some of my money or freedom taken away from me by the government. Yet the same government which would be so quick to stop me from speeding or breaking the least of the rules of the road and either fine or imprison me, turns a mostly blind eye towards the crime of coming into this country illegally. I don't want to be a lawbreaker, nor do I look kindly on those who are.

Probably this whole thing could be handled very easily. Just a little common sense would serve to be fair and equitable to all parties involved. If I were ruler of the world or this portion of it these are some of the things I would have done...... and because I'm dumber than I look I'm going to steal some ideas from Neal Boortz who admits he is not the original source.

Step One: You enact harsh -- draconian -- penalties for any employer, no matter how large or small, who knowingly or carelessly hires someone who is in this country illegally. These employers are going to have to use the services of private sector firms that verify citizenship or legal residency. If the demand for such certifications is created, that demand will be met by private businesses. The law would require the federal government to cooperate in all respect with any companies in the business of certifying legal residency. There would also be harsh penalties for any landlord who knowingly or carelessly rented living quarters to anyone not in this country legally.

Step Two: All federal funds would be withheld from any cities or other local governments who refuse to cooperate with federal immigration authorities in the enforcement of our immigration laws. This would put an end to this "Sanctuary City" nonsense.

Step Three: A law would be passed that would allow U.S. Businesses to hire temporary workers who are not legal residents of the United States. All of this hiring would be done through federally licensed but privately operated employment agencies. The companies using the temporary labor would make all payments to the employment agencies, and the employment agencies would in turn pay the temporary workers. The penalties for any payments made by employers to temporary workers outside of this system would be harsh. Very harsh. Say, for instance, denial of any rights to hire temporary workers through this program again.

Step Four: U.S. law would require that any foreign person seeking work in the United States through the temporary worker program would have to have a temporary worker card issued by the United States. Without this card the employment agencies would not be permitted to bring these people into the U.S. for temporary work assignments.

Step Five: The temporary worker cards would only be issued in that worker's home country. Nowhere else. In other words, if you are already in the United States you would have to return to your home country to be issued a card. If you chose to remain in the United States you would be unable to find any work because you would be ineligible to be hired through the federally licensed employment agencies, and no employer would dare take a chance on the fines that would result from paying you outside of the federal temporary worker program.

Step Six: When a U.S. company need some workers, construction, agricultural ... whatever, that company would go to one of the federally licensed employment agencies and put in an order. That agency would then arrange to have the needed workers brought into the country and would arrange for their temporary housing. The employer would be billed for these costs. When the temporary work assignment was over the agency would provide transportation either back to the temporary workers home country or to the next temporary job. All payments to the temporary workers would cease until another assignment was found.

One other thing I my self would do is to eliminate the automatic granting of citizenship to a child of foreigners born in this country. We might could have justified that at one time, but no longer. If a foreigner wants to apply for citizenship in this country let them go thru the steps required to obtain that right.

Right is only right.......

......at least that's my view from the Kudzu.
