The more things change the more they remain the same

It would appear we have learned nothing in the last 2000 years.

“The budget should be balanced,
the Treasury should be refilled,
public debt should be reduced,
the arrogance of officialdom
should be tempered and controlled,
and the assistance to foreign lands
should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt.
People must again learn to work,
instead of living on public assistance.”

Quote from Marcus Tullius Cicero

With a hat tip and thanks to Dax and his little brother.

If I never posted another thing and this message could be spread all over the US of A, I could die happy knowing I did my part to try to effect positive change.

Yeap...my good friend Dax is downtown, and he realizes, as I do...that our country is in some deep deep shit. I fear we have some troubled times ahead. It is what it is.

You're correct, we've been sold out, and I'm pissed.

I liken our elected representatives to cheap ass whores...and you should never turn your back on a whore...cheap ass or not. They will fuck you, and then steal you blind.

Case in point.
