Food For Thought
".....supreme absolute power is originally and ultimately in the people; and they never did in fact freely, nor can they rightfully make an absolute, unlimited renunciation of this divine right.” We the people of these United States are the masters, not the servants to a government which believes it is the sole decider of what powers it will wield. It may be true that the justice system has failed us, that we have no legal means of overturning unconstitutional laws and infringements upon our rights, we do have the right, and the authority, to simply disobey those laws that clearly overstep the express powers granted our government."
James Otis in 1764
“When a well-packaged web of lies has been sold gradually to the masses over generations, the truth will seem utterly preposterous and its speaker a raving lunatic.”

It's the Law of Incrementalism at work. The educational institutions are teaching nonsense in place of the 3Rs, parents shirk their child rearing responsibilities, a ruling class that not only supports more of the same but mandates it and a media that happily smears any opposition. It's been going on in small bites for decades until we have entire generations with no idea what freedom really means. They think that if they can buy the latest gadget, watch their favorite celebrity on TV and get a check from mommy and daddy or the government to spend on drugs and stupidity they're free.
I grieve for my country but I'm also as angry and politically involved as I've ever been. The giant has been poked. It remains to be seen whether he'll awaken and wreak vengeance.
Love your blog BTW. You Southern bloggers are steadily kicking butt.
